Jan is a photographer currently based in Bielefeld, Germany. His main focus is portraiture work and corporate assignments. He is driven by the possibility his camera gives him to meet people, hear and tell their stories. Using the camera as an opportunity and motivation to explore and frame. For him it’s about preserving the memories, feelings and relationship to the portrayed person.

After studying photography in Dortmund Germany, he worked in 2017 for renowned celebrity-portrait photographer Martin Schoeller in New York City. 

Being raised in a small German village, he is interested in the microcosm and it’s social correlations, the tasks of people in a community and their roles.


Jan is winner of Sky Arts Master of Photography 2019.
